Founder and managing director Nic Cooper started the company in his own garage in Sydney back in 1997, guiding his business to the global juggernaut it is today. The timing of Turbosmart’s success is testament to their success as well, with many challenges presenting themselves in the early 2000s. The company had to survive the Global Financial Crisis and the US dollar rising to a highly unfavourable position against the Aussie Dollar.

Australian motor enthusiasts can often get the chance to see Turbosmart tuner parts in action before they hit the market, with specialist project cars road testing components at leading race tracks. Turbosmart is known to hit tracks like Eastern Creek International Raceway to test the endurance of their products under race conditions, competing against real drivers in real race conditions. The company also has a wide range of products available – including blow-off valves, boost controllers, fuel-pressure and oil-pressure regulators, gauges and adapters, external wastegates and much more. Turbosmart products are all designed in-house and extensively tested so that race vehicles can be fitted with reliable, high-performance components.
