- Vehicle: VDJ79
- Load: Alloy canopy and 3 tonne Kedron
- Fuel consumption: 17L/100km at 90-100kph highway cruise
- EGT's: 370c.
- At low speeds: 2nd-3rd gear (40-60kph):
- Fuel consumption: 27L/100km
- EGT's: 650/750c!
Conclusion: The factory Intercooler was next to useless in high-load, low-speed situations.
