BASIC GUIDE FOR QUALIFIED FITTER
Please ensure that the vehicle is thoroughly washed and clean and that the surface you are fitting the scoop to is free from any grease, wax, polish or other contaminants.
Surface preparation is essential. Use a wax and grease remover on the bonnet according to the directions on the bottle.
You should also consider using light to medium sandpaper on the areas of the bonnet surface where the flange will contact. This will provide a lot of additional adhesive strength.
If the surface is not prepared correctly, there is a risk that the scoop will not adhere to the surface adequately and come off.
It is recommended that Sikaflex is used in addition to the double-sided automotive tape supplied. In addition, the scoop must be fixed to the bonnet using bolts or rivets in order to comply with Australian standards.
Do not wash the vehicle for 24 hours after installation.
